Nike teams up with long-time partner Concepts to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the beloved Air Max 1. Dubbed ‘Message to The Universe’, this collaboration embodies the eccentric, free-spirted displayed by festival goers in the 60’s and 70’s. The uppers are built from light-wash denim, then overlaid with tiger camo print at the mud guard and a vibrant orange bandana graphic at the heel. At the collar, you’ll find the Boston-based boutiques branding and paisley print, while a multi-coloured Swoosh sits proudly on the side wall. In contrast to the eye-catching uppers, however, the sole unit is kept relatively simple, with a speckled midsole and sportswear brand’s iconic Air cushioning.
